barb wire armband cover-up by newtskewltattoo barb wire armband cover-up by newtskewltattoo
This is a cover up of a barb wire armband I'm in working on. I need to go back into the wings and bring the purple out a little more to make a better cover, and I'm also going to be adding veigns through the wings to take away from the line work showing through still...

thank you. My boy Greu that I work with is the master of cover-ups... learning a lot at Mean Machine!

Thats so cool... I have always had a facination with cover-ups. I love them. I love how someone can take an ugly tattoo and make it into something beautiful. If I ever get the chance to learn to tatoo, cover-ups is what I would specialise in.

it's deffinately a chore to figure out a good cover-up... it's pretty difficult to work with the lines that are layed down already. And people are impatient and just want a tattoo sometimes....which is why they need a cover-up in the first place. Good isn't cheap, and cheap isn't good...

I still plan to bring the purple a further down on the inner part of the wings and also add veigns to take away from any line work still showing through.

Covers it up pretty well :P Although I would have had the wings a dark purple to dark blue gradient so there wouldn't be any tattoo showin under it after it's healed, but whatever, the client may have wantedit that way :P Looks pretty cool all the same :D

yeah.... I wrote the same thing in the notes. I'm gonna go back into the wings and bring the purple out further and throw in some veigns to take away from the line work...
