Very cool coloring! I live in a area where I mostly worked on dark skin, so I look forward to coloring on lighter skin tones!

thanks for taking a look. You can get some color into darker skin, you just have to rely more on contrast rather than being able to fully saturate the tattoo. I didn't see any tattoo's in your folders?

The only time I seen color that looked good to me on light chocolate type skin tone was in a photograph [link] [link] I would love to see color look great on dark skin tones (If you happen to know any, I would love to check it out :) ), but I have yet to see it in person: Hopefully I'll see when I finally make it to some shows.

Yeah, I don't post my tattoo work here, just tattoo designs. I plan on doing it once I build my portfolio to the type of work I want to promote. In the meantime, I post them in this journal: [link] I haven't posted any of the recent ones, don't have a proper camera at the moment.

That's just a picture of a naked chic in water man, you can barely see the tattoo. But what you can see, like I said is built up by contrast. They left skin tone showing next to the color instead of packing the whole thing in with color. usually blue's don't work as well.. red, orange, and even some yellow usually works good for darker skin tones. Look at other artists portfolios and try to hunt some reference down. Just keep at it, and it will come eventually man

Hahaha, I can see enough! But yeah, like you said, I'll look up more examples for sure. I've never seen yellow or red look good on chocolate skin before, what I would consider good anyway. So I look forward to seeing which ink would work the best for that.

Eternal Ink is the shit.. but if you really want to get some solid long lasting color you need to use powdered pigments, not the pre dispersed shiz. National has been around forever.. can't go wrong. But that's pretty involved.. so Eternal is good stuff for pre dispersed pigments though
